Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Review – This Game Is Brutal!

Aesthetic Charm

Seriously, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard takes graphics to a new level. With a whole new gaming engine built solely for this game called RE Engine, the attention to detail with everything is superb. There’s a particular scene right at the beginning where you see Ethan driving his car past a body of water. This scene looks so photo-realistic you would not be able to tell the difference if you saw it in a magazine.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Graphics

Motion capture makes characters move so seamlessly, however there still seem to be some discrepancies with mouth movements when a character is speaking. It’s a small qualm but not everything is perfect.

Music and sound effects add to the atmosphere of the game so perfectly and footsteps, creaking of floorboards, slamming doors etc. will have you jumping out of your skin!

Final Thoughts

With it only being January of 2017, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has already set the bar for gaming so high. I really can’t imagine how any other releases this year could top what CAPCOM have pulled off.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard truly defines the meaning of horror survival

Personally this is the game I’ve been waiting for. Something that packs a story fascinating enough to pull you in and not stop exploring, something with insanely good graphics, something that includes gunplay and melee combat so as to not leave the protagonist as someone who can’t fight back, and something that doesn’t censor itself but instead reveals the true nature a merciless monster would present a human.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a must-play for everyone. Obviously not for children or those who are squeamish around blood, but everyone else will find something about this game that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.
