You are Arthur. A man who works for the government censoring news articles that could potentially be unpleasant to read, or reveal truths that shouldn’t be known by the public.
One day Arthur decides not to take his Joy pill: a pill that makes users of it persistently happy. After that he realises how much reality is distorted when you are on that pill. Being found to have not taken his pill, the police arrest him and throw him into a dilapidated slums full of Downers: people who refuse the Joy pill.
We Happy Few is a marvellous open world adventure filled with quests, side-quests, crazed Downers, stealth aspects, a crafting system and some very interesting weapons.
We Happy Few is currently in early access so there’s still a lot more to come such as other characters to play as. If you enjoy stories set in dystopian futures, or enjoy a good open world adventure, you’ll love getting into it!
