The side-scrolling genre of games is a timeless albeit overdone concept. Some games hit and become classics whereas others miss and fall short of the mark they were trying to make. Take control of Vivian, a sell-sword for hire as she ventures her way through areas taking on monstrous foes. Vivian gets caught up on a journey she never thought she’d get into but does an awesome job of ploughing her way through countless enemies and imaginative boss fights.
Graphically speaking, The Vagrant has got to be one of the more beautiful games to be released this year. Its hand-drawn graphic style and gorgeously designed environments and enemies will suck you right in before you’ve even opened your wallet. Music in The Vagrant is fast-paced, exciting and downright awesome. Plus, if you’re a fan of scantily-clad girls, look no further.
