Dark Souls III Review

Aesthetic Charm

Dark Souls III Graphics

Hi I’m a hero and I’m just enjoying the sights.

First and foremost the environments in Dark Souls III are a pleasure to look at. Fighting enemies and getting rid of them will not only net you some souls to spend, or items to pick up, but you’ll also get to properly take in the sights and gaze in awe at the high definition textures of everything around you.

Sound and music-wise, Dark Souls III has a lot to offer. Music matches the game perfectly and sound effects never get overused or become annoying.

The enemy designs are incredibly imaginative and each monster and boss you come across will surprise you in many ways as they change attack patterns or transform.

Final Thoughts

Dark Souls is a massive series and has become a genre in itself. Being an incredibly intense and difficult action game, I recommend that only those who feel they can put up with dying over and over before they get passed a small gathering of enemies should consider getting into Dark Souls III.

When you get used to dodging, parrying and timing your attacks perfectly, the game becomes pretty damn awesome. Difficulty aside, when you defeat that one boss you’ve spent hours trying and retrying, the immense feeling of satisfaction becomes quite elating and inspires you to move ahead until you start dying all over again.

Dark Souls III is a game of epic proportion and the inclusion of PVP makes it something that you’ll most likely spend weeks, if not months playing through. However, the level of difficulty is real. When you hear about Dark Souls being a hard game, don’t doubt it for one second or you may end up regretting it.
